So, I’m off to the London Book Fair next week; having never been I’m not entirely sure what to expect – sure I’ve read blogs, seen pictures and eves dropped on a seminar but I’m still a little flummoxed.
I’ll be there for all three days and, as the seminar I was lucky enough to accidently attend suggested, I have a schedule. It’s broken down in to hours and days. I have filled each block with either meetings, presentations, seminars or stand time.
I also have an aim. Ok, I have about five aims:
- Learn more about conversion options (XML workflows)
- Look into the best options for selling eBooks/digital content online
- Research cloud computing
- Networking
- And if at all possible sell a few rights.
Yes, I have only a limited idea of what I’ll actually be walking in to but I know what I want to take away with me and I’m seriously hoping that’s half the battle.
